Here’s how it works:

RULE #1: No Agenda, No Meeting 

Every meeting request must come with a clear, written agenda.

If the person requesting the meeting can’t say what we’re discussing and why we’re there, it ain’t happening.

This one simple rule eliminates virtually all the "I just wanted to chat about..." time-waster meetings.

RULE #2: No Outcome, No Meeting 

Before agreeing to a meeting, ask, "What decision needs to be made?" 

Meetings aren't for discussion…they're for making decisions and making changes.

So, what’s the current status quo that needs to change?

RULE #3: No Expert, No Meeting 

If the person with the authority to decide isn’t there, cancel it.

Similarly, if the person with the expertise to deliver context with credibility can’t attend, cancel it.

Without these "experts," you're just having a time-wasting, energy-sucking hypothetical conversation.

RULE #4: No Scorecard, No Meeting 

Everyone must agree on the current state of affairs (using actual data that everyone agrees is accurate) before discussing solutions.

If you can't agree on the problem, you can't align on the solution.
